Today- Dr Gabriel Dorthe at CI Seminars!

It is our great pleasure to have Dr Gabriel Dorthe with us today. We are going to talk about ethnography based on Gabriel's own research and the fascinating text by Jeanne Favret Saada - Witchcraft in the Bocage.

Gabriel Dorthe is a postdoctoral researcher with the Project on Trust in Science at Harvard University’s STS Program. He is co-affiliated with the Research Institute for Sustainability — Helmholtz Centre Potsdam (Germany). He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy (Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, France) and Environmental Humanities (University of Lausanne, Switzerland). His work focuses on the reception of technoscientific promises (such as solar geoengineering, human enhancement, and vaccines) by marginalized activist groups. He uses ethnographic methods to combine theoretical elaboration with thorough empirical fieldwork (Source: Harvard STS Summer School
